Not a supermarket sauce. A chef's recipe — poured straight from the bottle, the way it is served in the restaurant.

Our Story

A restaurant and a brewery,
joined in one bottle.

SENSYO was born of a rare collaboration: a beloved Fukuoka sukiyaki house and a soy sauce brewery perfecting its craft since 1927. Two lineages of skill, poured into a single sauce — and now offered beyond Japan for the first time.

30 years

Yakiniku & Sukiyaki Sensyo

A specialist sukiyaki, shabu-shabu and yakiniku restaurant in the heart of Fukuoka, devoted for three decades to Kyushu wagyu and the quiet art of the pot.

1927

Maruhara Soy Sauce Brewery

A traditional shoyu maker in Hita, Oita — nearly a century of brewing knowledge forming the deep, honest base of every bottle.

The Sauce

Chef's recipe.
Honest ingredients.
Ready to pour.

A straight-type warishita — no diluting, no mixing. Open the bottle and your sukiyaki begins: deep, rounded umami with a refined, clean finish.

01

Kyushu Soybean Shoyu

Built on soy sauce made from Kyushu-grown soybeans — the backbone of its rich, savory character.

02

Sugar & Hokkaido Kombu

Japanese sugar for gentle sweetness; Hokkaido kelp for a deep, natural dashi undertone.

03

Plate-Heating Method

A careful heating process draws out body and a mellow aftertaste only craft can give.

04

Straight & Ready

Pour it directly into the pot. No preparation — restaurant results, every single time.

The Flavor Profile

Balanced by hand,
tuned for wagyu.

Sukiyaki at Home

Four steps to a Japanese feast

No chef required. SENSYO carries the experience for you.

Heat the Pot

Lightly oil a shallow iron pot or skillet and warm it over medium heat.

Sear the Wagyu

Lay in thin slices of marbled beef and pour SENSYO straight over the top.

Add the Rest

Tofu, mushrooms, leek and greens — arrange around the pot and let it simmer.

Dip & Enjoy

Serve with a beaten raw egg, the classic way, and gather around the table.

🥢
Beyond sukiyaki — use SENSYO for gyudon beef bowls, nikujaga, simmered dishes, or as a finishing glaze. One bottle, an endless run of Japanese dinners.
